The Catholic Schools Pupil Profile is rooted in the Jesuit aim of education and provides a framework for developing intellectually competent, compassionate, and virtuous young people. The values and virtues within the Profile are deeply grounded in the Gospels of Jesus Christ and the spirituality of St Ignatius Loyola (1491–1556), founder of the Society of Jesus. His vision of education sought to guide young people towards both a closer relationship with God and true human fulfilment.
The Catholic Schools Pupil Profile consists of pairs of values and virtues which strongly support our children’s spiritual, moral, social, cultural, and vocational development. Each half-term, we focus on two virtues, which are woven thoughtfully through all aspects of school life and learning. These virtues enrich our curriculum by encouraging deeper reflection, meaningful discussion, and engagement with the wider world, including current affairs and global issues that affect us all. As a result, children become increasingly confident in expressing their ideas, opinions, and values across a range of subjects.
The virtues are celebrated and promoted consistently across the school. They are central to our planning for Collective Worship, which takes place weekly, and children are recognised and praised for living out the virtues in their daily actions. Through this shared focus, we help children to grow in character, faith, and understanding, preparing them to contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.
We care about others and show kindness. We try to help people who are sad, hurt, or in need, and we treat everyone with love, just as Jesus taught us.
We speak clearly and honestly. We share our thoughts politely, listen carefully to others, and always try to tell the truth.

We say thank you and appreciate what we have. We are happy to share our time, talents, and belongings with others.
We pay attention and think carefully. We listen well, notice what is important, and try to make good choices.
We trust in God and believe in His love. We stay positive, even when things are difficult, knowing that God is always with us.
We enjoy learning and use our knowledge well. We try to make sensible choices and understand how our actions affect others.

We ask questions and enjoy discovering new things. We take part, try our best, and get involved in school life.
We choose to do what is right and stand up for what matters. We try to make the world a better place by our words and actions.
