Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education) is the independent government body responsible for inspecting schools in England. Under the new inspection framework, inspectors evaluate every aspect of school life, including leadership and governance, attendance and behaviour, curriculum and teaching, achievement, inclusion, early years, personal development and wellbeing, together with safeguarding.

Our Lady's Catholic Primary School was inspected in June 2026. This inspection was carried out under Ofsted's new framework, where schools are judged across a range of key areas rather than receiving a single overall grade.

We are delighted that:

• Five areas were judged to be meeting the expected standard.
• Safeguarding was confirmed as meeting all statutory requirements.
• Inspectors recognised the significant progress our school has made and the clear direction for future improvement.

The report celebrates the inclusive and caring culture that defines our school. Inspectors said:

"Leaders ensure that inclusion sits at the heart of all decision-making. They have created a culture where inclusion is visible in daily practice."

They also recognised our leadership, stating:

"The passionate new leadership team are working at pace to further develop this school."

Inspectors described Our Lady's as a school where:

"A positive and inclusive culture is at the heart of Our Lady's RC Primary."

We are incredibly proud that the report recognises our commitment to providing every child with a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious education, where children feel safe, valued and supported to achieve their very best.

While the report identifies two areas for further development, it also confirms that these are priorities leaders have already identified and are actively addressing. We remain committed to continuous improvement and to ensuring every child flourishes academically, socially and spiritually.
