Digital Leaders

At Our Lady’s RC Primary School, our Digital Leaders support the safe, responsible and creative use of technology across the school.

Digital Leaders are pupils who demonstrate confidence, responsibility and enthusiasm for using technology positively to enhance learning.

What Do Our Digital Leaders Do?

Digital Leaders help to:

  • Support pupils and staff with the use of digital tools
  • Promote safe and responsible online behaviour
  • Assist with technology during lessons and events
  • Help troubleshoot simple technical issues
  • Model positive digital citizenship

They act as ambassadors for online safety and respectful digital communication.

Promoting Online Safety

Digital Leaders support our whole-school commitment to safeguarding by helping to reinforce key messages about:

  • Keeping personal information safe
  • Treating others respectfully online
  • Recognising unsafe or inappropriate content
  • Reporting concerns to trusted adults

Through assemblies, pupil discussions and awareness events, they help promote a culture of digital responsibility.

Developing Leadership and Future Skills

Through their role, Digital Leaders develop:

  • Confidence in communication and problem-solving
  • Responsibility and initiative
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Understanding of digital literacy and online ethics

These experiences prepare pupils for the digital world beyond primary school.

Our Commitment

We are proud of our Digital Leaders and the contribution they make to learning and safeguarding. Through this role, pupils learn that technology should be used safely, respectfully and creatively.
