Accessibility

At Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all members of our community can fully access school life. Guided by our mission that all should “have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10), we strive to remove barriers and promote inclusion, equality and opportunity for all.

We aim to ensure that:

  • All pupils can access a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum
  • The physical environment of the school is accessible and safe
  • Information is communicated in ways that are clear and accessible to all

We recognise that some pupils, parents and visitors may have additional needs, including disabilities or English as an additional language (EAL). We are committed to making reasonable adjustments and providing appropriate support to ensure everyone can participate fully in school life.

Our Accessibility Plan

Our Accessibility Plan sets out how we will:

  • Improve access to the curriculum
  • Enhance the physical environment
  • Improve communication and access to information

The plan is reviewed regularly and outlines both our current practice and future actions.

Support and Accessibility

We provide support in a range of ways, including:

  • Adapted teaching and resources to support learning
  • Accessibility adjustments across the school site
  • Alternative formats for written information (e.g. large print, simplified language)
  • Translation and interpretation support where required

If you require information in an alternative format or need support accessing any aspect of school life, please contact the school office.
