At Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School, our close relationship with our parish is central to the life of our school. As part of the Catholic community, we are proud to be closely linked with Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. You can find more information about our parish here:
We work in partnership with our parish to support the spiritual growth and faith journey of our children and families.
Catholic schools are established as part of the Church’s mission in education — to place Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church at the centre of daily life. At Our Lady’s, our children are given meaningful opportunities to encounter Jesus, to experience His love and to grow in faith.
As Pope Benedict XVI reminded us:
“A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person and a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints.”
Our parish partnership enriches school life in many ways. Children take part in Mass, liturgies and celebrations within the parish, helping them to understand that they are part of a wider faith community. These experiences deepen their understanding of the Church and strengthen their sense of belonging.
Our faith is lived out through daily prayer, collective worship and acts of service. Rooted in Gospel values, we encourage our children to grow in love, compassion and respect for others, and to recognise their role in serving the wider community.
We value the support of our parish and families in nurturing the faith of our children and helping them to grow in their relationship with God.
