School Day

A Positive Start

Each morning, children are welcomed into school in a calm and friendly way:

  • A member of staff is always on the gate to greet children
  • Class teachers welcome children at the classroom door
  • Our Year 6 pupils support younger children, helping them with transition from the gate to the classroom

This ensures that every child feels safe, valued and ready to begin their day. Punctuality is important, as children who arrive late may miss valuable learning.

Gates open (Walnut Tree Avenue & Church Car Park):
8:45am – 8:50am

Classroom doors open:
7:30am – 8:45am

Breakfast Club:
7:45am – 8:45am

Learning Throughout the Day

Children take part in well-structured lessons across a broad and engaging curriculum, supported by high-quality teaching.

Daily Collective Worship is at the heart of school life, supporting children’s spiritual growth and sense of community.

Pupils also enjoy a wide range of clubs, music and extra-curricular opportunities, enriching their experience beyond the classroom.

Physical Activity and Wellbeing

Children have regular opportunities to be active and develop healthy habits through:

  • break times
  • PE lessons
  • swimming
  • Forest School
  • outdoor learning
