Our Lady’s RC Primary School opened on the 24th July, 1963 with a blessing and official opening by The Archbishop of Cardiff, John A. Murphy. In 2013, we celebrated our 50th Anniversary and held various celebratory events with staff, pupils and families, past and present. This included a blessing of the newly carved statue of Our Lady by The Archbishop of Cardiff, George Stack.
We are a small one form entry school with very strong links with our Parish Church, Our Lady’s Queen of Martyrs with whom we share our site. Over the years there have been many changes to the school building; with the most recent being the current building work which took place to transform the ‘courtyard area’. This has provided us with a large spacious atrium which includes a new library area and a flexible space for individual and small group study.
Several members of staff and governors of Our Lady’s have a long association with the school, having been pupils here themselves. They have continued this association as parents of pupils past and present!
We are very proud of our school – please telephone the school office to arrange a visit and we will be delighted to show you around.
School finishes on Friday July 21st, 2017 and we return on Tuesday 5th September, 2017
